Church of Deets | Jesus on Public Health
1 Corinthians 9:19-23
19 For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them.
20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law.
21 To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law.
22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.
23 I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.
I would add that today, I become a Christian, though I am not a Christian, to show Christians the true nature nd character of The Son of Man.
Today, Congregation, we will be discussing Jesus on Public Health.
As the Church failed in their response to the coronavirus pandemic- horribly failed in their response - it is up to a mentally ill millennial to set the record straight on how Jesus would have responded to a pandemic in times of modern medical science.
I wish I could say that the COVID-19 pandemic was an isolated incident in the history of the Chuch - oh how I wish I could say that - but that is sadly sadly not the case we have on our hands. The Church failed to respond appropriately to the AIDS epidemic. The Church failed to maintain a healthy relationship with vaccines - not just COVID - for we are seeing a resurgence of measles, of polio, of tuberculosis - Congregation, these are diseases that we had the means to eradicate with God given miracles found in modern science, yet the Church forsook these miracles and forsook Christ himself in their scorn for modern science. And now… Now, Congregation, we’re already seeing this spite and ignorance in the early days of the monkeypox epidemic.
Woah, woah I say, to those who profess to live in a relationship with Christ yet condemn his children to debilitating illness and early death.
Let’s open up the Bible and see what Scripture truly has to say on moden medical science.
Let’s take a quick trip to Romans 13:1 and 2
1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
That read to me, a simply mentally ill millennial, that God demands the Church to adhere to vaccine, mask, and quarantine guidelines. We have not come to these decisions likely. We know that social distancing works. We know that masking works. We know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that vaccines… Vaccines work.
Yet we have scorned these mandates and in doing so you haven scorned the very command of God.
This is further illustrate din Romans 13:10
Romans 13:10
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Congregation, this commandment is simple, yet the Church has failed something so fundamental to their faith.
We know what happened with COVID. We know the asymptomatic infections. We know that COVID hit the elderly, immunocompromised, and people of color hardest. We know COVID killed the weakest among us and those who already suffer from systemic injustice.
And did the Church step up? Did the Church protect their neighbors? Even today, is the Church vaccinated?
We know the answer. They did not and they are not.
This is not the way. This is not what Jesus commanded. Jesus if he were alive and with us today, he would have masked. He would have quarantined. He would have received the miracle that are vaccines.
Why did this happen. Why did the Church forsake the most basic of Jesus’ commandments? Because they did not read their Holy Scripture.
For Philippians 2:3-4 states:
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
The Church failed to take care of their neighbor because they failed to put others before themselves. A spirit of selfishness and nationalism has taken a Church - and in doing so has separated the bride from the will of her bridegroom. The Church’s self-centeredness not only keeps them away from Jesus, but detours other from pursuing the Knowledge of Christ.
But there is a yet a way for the bride to return to her bridegroom Jeremiah 29:7 instructs
7 But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.
Not only does the Bible condone quarantine and social distancing, it demands it. Beyond COVID and public health, exile and isolation can be a good thing for today’s Church. Instead of edifying and building one another up, the Church has taken to conspiracy theories and disinformation and life threatening memes they share with one another on social media. Instead of instilling the Spirit of Christ within and amongst one another, they stoke fear, hatred, ignorance, and idolatry. Stepping away from the situation - stepping away from your present congregation, taking time off Social Media, dismissing the memes and researching actual documented science can be healthy - and may be the last resort the Church has to return to Christ.
Galatians 5:13 compels us
13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Church, you have freedom, yet you have used it not to save one another, not to build a kingdom worthy of Christ’s name, but to spite the gifts given by God and condemn over a million of your American siblings to early early early death. This is not the way. This is not what Christ has demanded.
Matthew 9:12
12 But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
Matthew 18:7
7 “Woe to the world for temptations to sin![a] For it is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the one by whom the temptation comes!
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,
20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
Church… Christ is your physician and your physician has prescribed modern medical science and psychology to heal you. You have the world Christ promised at your fingertips, yet you use your freedom not to worship Christ, but to worship the false Christ of Donald Trump, of Epoch Times, of Breitbart, of RSBN, of Dinesh D’Souza, of Turning Point USA. You believe Christ has paid for your soul with his Blood… yet you scorn the gift he gave you. You scorn the resources he gave you. You scorn the knowledge he gave you. For… what? For… who? An orange gorilla who refuses to admit he lost an election. For a man who made a living off of trivilizing the deaths of children? For… Lies?
You choose lies when truth abounds all around you… Literally at your fingertips with modern technology. You have all the data of the CDC, FDA, and WHO at your fingertips… but you choose cheap ass bottom barrel memes and conspiracy theories?
No… No, Church. Christ warned you to not be taken by false idols and false Christs. Yet that is exactly who and what you have chosen over your Lord and Saviour.
1 Corinthians 10:23–24
23 “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
24 Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
Scripture tells us that all things are allowable, but not all things are beneficial. Yes, you can partake in conspiracy theories. Yes, you can be given over to false idols. Yes, you can believe in pseudoscience - those are all your Scriptural rights as Christians and Constitutionl rights as Americans - but these things are not beneficial. The things do not edify you. These things do not build Christ’s Kingdom. These things do not bring you closer to Christ.
Luke 10:25-37
25 And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” 27 And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” 28 And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.”
29 But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead.
31 Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side.
32 So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion.
34 He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him.
35 And the next day he took out two denarii[a] and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’
36 Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?”
37 He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.”
Christ demands of you to not only think of your fellow human… but to proactively protect and take care of them. And, unlike in Scripture where it demands you to use your own money to take care of them, the American government foot the bill for you. Masks are/were free at many pharmacies. The vaccines are free. Social distancing doesn’t cost you anything other than pride. So… Church, what is the price to save a fellow human? You have shown you are not willing to pay it - even when it has been made affordable to you.
2 Corinthians 5:20
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
You are Christ’s body. You are his hands and feet. You are the only connection Christ still has to this planet.
Yet you do not live like it. You do not love like it.
Come back, Church. Come back to Christ. Come back with a repentant heart and an open mind. Be the example he has demanded you to be.
Hebrews 10:24-25 - TeleChurch
24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
You may ask, “but how shall we social distance and quarantine yet keep Christ’s commandment to meet and encourage one another.” The answer is so simple. The Internet did not exist in the time of Christ. Jesus did not have Zoom.
But you do.
You have these amazing tools and resources to keep in contact, just as I am speaking to you now. You can maintain the edict to meet while maintaining the edict to honor government mandates.
Hebrews 12:14
14 Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
The Lord says peace. Yet that is not the course you have chosen.
No… I know you. I know the lies that have permeated the Church for the past 30+ months.
The sprit of the troll lives among and within you. The spirit of discord, spite, and rebellion. Christ called for unity, yet you choose division. Christ called for edification, yet you chose destruction.
And we know the source. Oh, oh, how we know the source.
Putin.
Putin. Is. The Enemy.
Putin is the false Christ among false Christs.
He is the one that has sewn the seeds of discord and rebellion, and I call for you today to rebel against him and his intentions.
Matthew 21:12–13
12 And Jesus entered the temple[a] and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.
13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.”
Rise up, Church. Rise up against the Spriit of Capitlism, the Spirit of idolatry, the Spirit of White Supremacy, and the Spirit of discord.
Rise up and drive out the ignorance, hate, and spite.
Rise up and rebel against the Lord of Rebellion, for the Spirit of the Enemy is within Putin, Trump, and the GQP.
Q…
Q is a lie, and there is nothing anonymous about this troll for the enemy.
For Putin is the enemy, Trump is his right hand, and Q is his left.
Matthew 23:13
13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people's faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in.
Do you see the Spirit of Christ in your Church leaders. Do you see the Heart of Christ in your televangists. Do you see the Service of Christ in Trump?
I do not.
Luke 11:52
52 Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.”
These lawyers of death that you worship are not doing the work of Christ. Jay Sekulow is not a disciple of The Way. The Lord Josh Hawley serves is not up above. The guide of Ted Cruz is not who let his life’s blood flow freely on the Cross.
Matthew 22:37-40
37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
38 This is the great and first commandment.
39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
That’s what it’s all about. That’s what this religion you claim to is all about.
Love. Love of the Lord and Love of your fellow human.
I do not see love within the Church.
All I see is hate and death.
Christ calls for love and life.
Acts 1:6–7
6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.
Jesus has not called for you two wait idly for his Return. Jesus has not called you to endlessly study End Time Prophecy. Jesus has not called you to live for the afterlife.
Jesus called you to live your life - a life of peace, edification, and building a world for all to prosper.
Luke 22:24–26
24 A dispute also arose among them, as to which of them was to be regarded as the greatest.
25 And he said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those in authority over them are called benefactors.26 But not so with you. Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves.
Greatness is not found in toxic masculinity. Greatness is not found in narcissism and unchecked ego. Greatness is not found in a life of lies.
Greatness is found in humility, servitude, and transparency.
Hebrews 12:2
2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Philippians 2:6-7
6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
Your faith states that God did not come as as conqueror, but as a servant who sacrificed his very life as a symbol of humility and love.
Philippians 2:21
21 For they all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.
I ask again, Church, do you see the Spirit of Christ in your Church leaders and political idols?
Or...
Philippians 2:3-4
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Or… Do you see the spirit of narcissism, ignorance, greed, and selfishness?
1 Corinthians 8:1-13
1 Now concerning[a] food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up.
2 If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.
3 But if anyone loves God, he is known by God.4 Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”
5 For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”—
6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.7 However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, through former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
8 Food will not commend us to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do.
9 But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.
10 For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol's temple, will he not be encouraged, if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols?
11 And so by your knowledge this weak person is destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died.
12 Thus, sinning against your brothers[e] and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.
13 Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.
Church, you do not feed upon wisdom. You do not feed upon knowledge. You do not feed upon education.
You feast and gorge yourselves on conspiracy theories, pseudoscience, and lies.
This is not the way.
Repent.
Repent, Church, when there is still time.
We can not return the millions of souls lost to COVID.
Those souls are lost to the ether.
But we can prepare. We can forsake the lies and embrace the truth. We can force ourselves to vomit out the conspiracies and nourish ourselves on wisdom.
This we can do.
This we must do, to prepare ourselves for what is to come.
COVID-19 was only the beginning of a decade of pandemics.
You can call it prophecy. You can call it analysis.
I call it reality.
Climate change is forcing mass migration.
Global warming is melting the ice caps.
Diseases and viruses that were frozen for millions of years are being thawed. Animals and insects are being forced into new terrain, breeding untold and unknown diseases.
We must take public health seriously. We must take climate seriously.
For if we don’t, we will pray for the days when we only lost a million Americans to a virus in 24 months.
This is your time, Church.
Are you going to step up and fight the good fight with us?
Or are you going to continue to rebel and troll - and in doing so sentencing our species to death.
There are no guarantees. Christ has not promised a future. Revelation was a warning, not a prophecy.
Are you, Church, going to be the hands and feet of Christ and build a human Utopia on this Earth and in this life…
Or are you going to sentence us to mass extinction?
Decide Church.
Decide, for the time is short.
