Mission Statement
American democracy has been challenged as never before.
Under the principles afforded unto us by our United States Constitution, democracy held firm in the face of unprecedented enemies of the State.
At the heart of this movement against our democracy was disinformation – the result of generations of lies, religious extremism, and foreign interference.
Missouri Matters aims to nullify the power of this disinformation, correct the damage disinformation has inflicted and set a course that will protect democracy, the factual record, and public health for generations to come.
Situation Analysis
The problem
Disinformation is flooding rural and lowly educated areas with lies.
These lies influence voting decisions, as the GOP plays into and disseminates the disinformation.
These politicians get elected based on these lies and influence the Census while gerrymandering/redistricting to carve up the voting population in ways that will secure the GOP’s influence and voting patterns over the districts.
The solution
Democrats currently are on the defensive, debating and combating the lies when it is already too late – after they launch their campaign.
We need to go on the offensive and tackle the disinformation head-on.
We can do this by launching media outlets with the intent of not only counterprogramming the lies directly but to get ahead of them and deplatform/demonetize disinformation agents (Phase 1).
Once a strong media wing is built up, we can then transition the media hosts into becoming Candidates for Office (Phase 2).
Solution Proposition
November 2024
(Re)Elect the Democratic Candidate for President of The United States
Build up politicians to win The Missouri Executive Branch. Including:
– Missouri Governor
– Missouri Lieutenant Governor
– Missouri Attorney General
– Missouri Secretary of State
With the Executive Branch secure, nominate and confirm a new head of the Missouri National Guard
Support and Elect a candidate to Defeat Josh Hawley for the United States Senate
Flip multiple State and Federal House Seats
Longer-Term Goals:
Once elected, the elected will hand over their media outlets to the next generation of candidates to initiate a cycle of perpetually building up candidates and countering disinformation.
Once the strategy is proven, expand to other States (starting with FL, KS, OH, OK, IN, and TX).

Phase 1 Part B – Touring & Syndication
We take the podcasts on the road – focusing primarily on rural areas in Missouri.
We use Social Media to engage voters – using polls and comments to get topics for the podcasts.
We also debut Deets On… episodes focusing on the history of the area we’re visiting along with issues that affect the voters of that area.
We use this as an opportunity to collect signatures for ballot Missouri Constitutional Amendment initiatives (reproductive health protections with abortion access, same-sex marriage recognitions, psychedelics legalization & regulation, and transgender rights & protections).
The goal is to build up our audiences from coffee house-sized meet and greets to full-sized arena rallies.
As our audience grows, we petition to get the podcasts on Missouri airwaves – starting with radio and then reformatting the podcasts and Deets On… episodes for OTA News Stations.
Our goal is to get our information on eyeballs and earholes currently dominated by disinformation.
If we turn a profit, that’s a bonus. The goal is data dissemination.
Phase 1 Requirements Part B – Touring & Syndication
Touring bus – own or rent – with portable podcasting hardware
Ballot Petition Circulators
If we get big enough, satellite trucks to broadcast the events directly
Road managers (with hotel booking experience) and road techs
Radio and Network TV contract manager(s) and liaison(s)
Publisher(s) and a PR manager/team
Road stylists and makeup/hair techs
iOS/Android App developer(s)
Advertising Budget (Social Media, Radio, OTA TV, Cable TV)
Phase 2 Part A – Establish Missouri Matters FEC Compliant Financial Committees
While each candidate will have their donation accounts, we need a central account to direct funds as needed under FEC regulations.
We should go to Jefferson City to sign up for ballot access as a united front. We can use this as a chance to meet with the media and summarize our values and mission.
We can also use this as an opportunity to drop off signatures to get reproductive health protections with abortion access, same-sex marriage recognitions, psychedelics legalization & regulation, and transgender rights & protections on the ballot as Missouri Constitutional Amendments (if these aren’t Federally protected by that time).
Phase 2 Requirements Part A – Establish Missouri Matters (s/h/l)PAC
Ballot Access Fees
Group Transportation to/from Jefferson City
Hotel Costs
Campaign Managers
Phase 2 Part B – Path to Primaries and General Election
Transition the touring events into campaign rallies.
We utilize the platform the rallies offer to get as many people registered to vote as willing.
We can get to the destination the day before to set up and host events/door-knocking endeavors before we need to be at the venue for the rally.
Offer local leftist candidates stage time to get their personality and message out to their electorate.
We can use the rallies as an open invitational to host debates for challenging candidates leading up to the primary.
As we get closer to the primary, we can split candidates up to host multiple rallies on the same day in different areas of the State.
We show solidarity in numbers, and we should convince voters that they should vote for all of us and those we endorse as a singular voting bloc.

Closing Remarks
To account for unforeseen variables, my estimates were liberal for potential costs and conservative for potential revenues. This should offer reasonable estimates for this endeavor.
This endeavor would flip many Missouri State and Federal seats – including potentially the U.S. Senate and the entirety of Missouri’s Executive Branch.
This endeavor creates an ever-relevant media tool to counter disinformation and educate the public on historical and medical facts.
This endeavor serves as a blueprint for flipping red states and securing a liberal lean in purple states.
If we can get the DNC’s attention directed towards Missouri, we could petition for more financial assistance – which averaged $257,488,650 per State in swing States in the 2022 midterm election.
A staggering amount of money has been spent on top Senate races in 2022 – CNN November 8, 2022
Projected Campaign financials are averages, and in practice, most donations and campaign funding will be weighted toward Federal Candidates and State Executive Branch Candidates.
